Miso

Miso soybeans are a type of soybean that is specifically grown and processed for the production of miso. They are typically high in protein and carbohydrates. Miso soybeans are also typically non-genetically modified (GMO) and organic.

Natto soybeans are a traditional Japanese food made by fermenting soybeans with the bacteria Bacillus subtilis. This fermentation process gives natto its unique sticky texture and nutty flavor. 

PURIS’ breeding program has a commercial lineup of natto varieties approved by some of the largest Asian manufacturers and a strong pipeline representing at least 10 years of new variety release potential. PURIS breeds for natto manufacturing quality, agronomic traits, and processing efficiencies.
