Yes. PURIS protein has high solubility and disperses easily in both hot and cold liquids. It mixes cleanly in water-based beverages without creating clumps or sediment at the bottom.

Does PURIS protein cause a chalky or gritty texture in drinks?

No. PURIS pea protein is known for its smooth finish and neutral mouthfeel. It avoids the common chalkiness and aftertaste often found in other plant-based proteins.

Can PURIS protein be used in shelf-stable or UHT beverages?

Yes. PURIS protein is heat-stable and performs well in shelf-stable, aseptic, and UHT beverage systems. It resists separation and maintains texture throughout shelf life.

PURIS's ClearP protein is a plant-based protein offering 100% clarity, no cloudiness, high acid stability, and up to 90% protein content.

What inclusion rate is typical in beverage applications?

In beverages, PURIS protein can be used up to 90% for RTM products, depending on the desired protein content and mouthfeel. We can advise on optimal levels for RTD, dry mix, or smoothie applications.

Does PURIS offer formulation support for beverage development?

Yes. PURIS partners with beverage brands to develop and refine formulations for functionality, flavor, and nutritional targets — including clean-label and high-protein goals.

Can PURIS protein be used in acidic beverages like juice or sports drinks?

Yes. PURIS HiLo and ClearP are both stable in low pH environments and can be formulated into acidic beverages such as fruit juices, sports drinks, and flavored waters. Its clean taste and solubility help maintain clarity and reduce sedimentation in challenging pH systems.
